Sowing the Seeds of Love

garden

The first Socie garden is officially underway. The boys and I went to the local hardware store yesterday and bought the seed starter supplies. We may have taken on a little more than we can handle, but it was hard to decide on the seeds. The boys were actually interested in helping, so I felt like I needed to foster that enthusiasm. Especially since they are giving up their swing set to make room for this garden project.

Here’s what we planted: carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, peppers, squash, zucchini, onions, watermelon, cantaloupe, beans, corn, and cucumbers. And there’s a whole forest of marigolds because we have a serious rabbit problem in our yard. We’re hoping they will create an Anti-Bunny Force Field around the garden.

If you have any gardening tips, please pass them along. We’ll need all the help we can get.
