What
kind of picture should I use?
Our designs work well with either color or black and white photos.
If you have a color photo, but like a black and white design as
shown on our site, we can do that for you. You'll see how it looks
when we send the proof. Some photos may require cropping and color/brightness
adjustment. It's best if you send us the raw image file and describe
the changes you would like made (or send a second, adjusted image
for us to see). Most importantly, the image should be the highest
resolution possible. An ideal size is 1200x1600 pixels, or 4x6
inches at 300dpi.
Can I get extra envelopes?
Orders include 2 additional envelopes for every 25 cards ordered.
Will
I know what my card looks like before you print it?
Before your cards are printed, we will email you a digital proof.
If necessary, corrections will be made and another proof will
be sent for your approval before they go to the printer.
What payment methods are accepted?
You must use a Visa or MasterCard to place your order. Sorry,
we don't accept personal checks.
What do you suggest for adoption announcements?
Although the designs are not shown as adoption
announcements, all our designs work well. We can change
the wording to fit your needs, provided there isn't so much
text as to detract from the look of the design. Please look
at the Adoption Gallery to see many examples.
Do I need extra postage for the square envelopes?
Yes, the USPS requires an additional $.20 postage for square
envelopes. We think our baby announcements look best in this
format, and we hope you'll agree that it's worth the extra
postage.
I
pre-ordered months ago, and now I'm ready to finish the order.
How do I send you the image?
If you're ready to send an image and all the relevant info,
go straight to the Upload Page and
follow the directions there. Please do not place another order
by putting a selection in your shopping cart. This will result
in another charge to your credit card.
What resolution do I need to use?
A 4-inch x 6-inch image at 300dpi (1200x1600 pixels) is ideal
for digital photos, but the higher the resolution, the better.
The file must be JPG, PSD or TIF format. Anything less than
this and you will be disappointed with the print quality. We
don't want that.
Do I have to use a digital camera?
At this point in time, we only accept digital photos. If you
don't have a digital camera at your disposal, you can always
scan the photo (at high resolution) and upload the file to us.
Kinko's can do this for you; be sure to tell them to scan it
at 300 dpi and save it as a TIFF. Pictures taken on film and
processed onto a Kodak Photo CD are not high resolution, and
will not print well on most of our designs.
How
long until my order is shipped?
After your order and the digital photo is received, we will
send you a proof within 24 hours. Orders will be shipped out
via UPS Ground on the 7th business day after approval of the
digital proof. When shipped within the US, it takes 2-4 days
for your package to arrive. Please contact
us for shipping rates on international orders.
What if I change my mind?
Completed orders are non-refundable and returns are not accepted.
We provide proofs for this reason, and ask that you check all
information on the proof very carefully. Once the announcement
has been printed, we are not able to make changes or refund
your money.
What if I need to order more later?
We will archive your announcement in the event that you need
to order more. We will reprint the second order exactly as we
did the first time, but you will not receive another digital
proof and changes can not be made.
Can you touch up my photograph?
We can do as much image manipulation as you would like; but
we also know when to stop so the image doesn't look fake.
We
almost always do a little re-touching for skin blemishes, baby
acne, etc. We have even taken out a dishwasher in the background
and added more blankets!
Can I use a professional photograph?
Professional photos may only be used with photographer's written permission. By
submitting photos to us, you are indicating that you have ownership of the photo/copy
release.
